Subcision
Transform Your Skin with Subcision for Scar Treatment in Malaysia
At GEM Clinic, we offer subcision in Malaysia, a minimally invasive procedure to enhance the appearance of depressed scars. This procedure aids in the release of the scar tissue which is lacerated, allowing the scar to heal. In most cases, subcision is done to smooth the texture of the skin acne scars and other blemished skin irregularities. In the long run, subcision may promote a more refined complexion.
As a leading skin aesthetic clinic in KL, GEM Clinic provides a professional and safe atmosphere for your procedure. Our LCP-certified aesthetic doctor in Malaysia takes time to customize the treatment plan to match the specific requirements of your skin which provides a smooth healing period.
Looking to enhance your results? Our clients often combine subcision with other treatments such as skin boosters or dermal fillers for more thorough skin rejuvenation. These treatments bolster the skin’s elasticity and hydration, address fine lines, and provide a youthful glow to your skin, which is perfect for those countering aging.
If regaining your skin’s radiance is a priority, we are here to assist. Subcision might be the key you’ve been searching for, and our team GEM Clinic is eager to discuss the possibilities with you.

How it works
How does Subcision work?
A tri-beveled hypodermic needle is carefully inserted into the skin beneath the scar. The sharp edge of the needle is used to break the fibrotic strands that tether the scar to the underlying tissue. These fibrotic strands are a result of the inflammatory acne process and remain after the healing phase. Releasing these strands can initiate the skin’s natural healing process and support collagen production. This process may reduce the appearance of scars, resulting in smoother and more even-looking skin.

About subcision
What condition it treats
Acne scars are the result of inflammatory acne. The body produces too little collagen to repair the skin resulting in depressed scars that persists long after the acne resolves. Subcision involves inserting a small needle to break apart the fibrotic strands that pulls down the scar.
Wrinkles are the lines and creases that form in the skin. Some wrinkles may become deeper and more noticeable over time as collagen production decreases. Subcision helps break apart the fibrotic strands that contribute to deepening wrinkles and support collagen production.
