How it works
How does GEM Microlaser work?
Our skin contains collagen and elastin that are important for skin support and elasticity. GEM Microlaser uses heat energy to resurface the top layer of skin while stimulating collagen at the underlying layers. Hence, the old damaged skin is pushed out and it will be replaced with fresher, smoother skin. As a result, scars will be reduced and pores will shrink.
After the procedure, we will apply platelet-rich plasma(PRP) solution on the skin to significantly improve healing and results.

What condition it treats
GEM Microlaser is used to treat atrophic/sunken scars that occur when wound healing is inadequate. There are three types of atrophic scars which are icepick, boxcar and rolling scars. This treatment aims to restore the deficit in collagen by stimulating collagen production.
Enlarged pores are caused by oily skin, presence of blackheads and aging. When enlarged pores are clogged with sebum and dirt, it causes the skin to stretch and pores to appear larger. Collagen stimulation can minimize pores by tightening the skin and improving skin texture.
As we age, fine wrinkles and wrinkles start to appear because there is a lack of collagen and elastin. By using GEM Microlaser, it easily resurfaces the skin and quickly reduces the appearance of wrinkles by stimulating collagen production.

The skin renews itself every 28 days. GEM Microlaser will stimulate collagen production for new skin to replace the layer of old skin. Hence, there is no skin thinning.
During the procedure you may feel some discomfort and “pins and needles” sensation. Numb cream will be applied to ensure maximum comfort.
After the treatment, you may feel soreness and warmth for a few hours. The skin will also appear pinkish or sunburnt for 5 to 7 days. During this time, there will be skin peeling. Most people take up to 2 weeks to completely heal.
