Most patients describe the sensation as a mild "prickling" heat. Because the energy is delivered in a controlled "micro" format, discomfort is kept to a minimum compared to traditional resurfacing lasers.
While you may notice a glow after just one session, we typically recommend a series of 3 to 5 treatments for significant improvement in acne scars and deep pores.
You may experience mild redness (similar to a light sunburn) for 24–48 hours. Most patients can return to work and apply makeup within a day or two.
The Microlaser is primarily designed to treat the after-effects of acne, such as scarring and pores. If you have active breakouts, our doctors may recommend our specialized Acne Treatment first to calm inflammation.
