What is Breast Augmentation?

Breast augmentation is a cosmetic surgery procedure that involves increasing the size and changing the shape of the breasts. There are three main types of breast augmentation surgery: silicone implants, saline implants, and fat transfer. Silicone implants are the most popular type of implant. They are made of a silicone shell filled with a silicone gel. The gel feels similar to natural breast tissue, so it is often a good choice for women who want their breasts to look and feel natural. Saline implants are filled with sterile salt water. They are less expensive than silicone gel implants, but they can look and feel less natural. Fat transfer is a newer type of breast augmentation surgery that uses your own fat to add volume to your breasts.

How long does breast augmentation last

In general, breast implants last between 10 and 20 years. However, it is important to keep in mind that this is an estimate and some people may need to have their implants replaced sooner, while others may not need to replace them at all. Additionally, your lifestyle choices can affect how long your breast implants last. For example, if you smoke or do not follow a proper implant care routine, you may need to replace your implants sooner than someone who does not smoke and takes good care of their implants.

What to expect during breast augmentation recovery

Recovery from breast augmentation surgery is different for every woman. You may have some discomfort and swelling for the first few days. You will likely need to take pain medication for a week or two. Furthermore, you will also need to sleep on your back and avoid strenuous activity for 4-6 weeks. Most women take approximately two weeks off from work, although this depends on the extent of the surgery and your own recovery. Follow your surgeon’s instructions regarding activity and lifting during recovery. Generally, you can expect to return to all normal activities within four to six weeks after surgery. The most important thing you can do during recovery is follow your surgeon’s instructions. This will help ensure a smooth recovery with minimal complications.

How to care for your breasts after breast augmentation

After you have had breast augmentation, it is important to take care of your breasts. This includes wearing the right type of bra, avoiding strenuous activity, and not smoking. You will need to wear a support bra for at least six weeks after your surgery. It is important to wear a support bra because it will help hold your breasts in place and decrease swelling. You should avoid any strenuous activity, such as running or lifting weights, for at least four to six weeks after surgery. This is because strenuous activity can cause bleeding and swelling. It is also important to not smoke after breast augmentation surgery. Smoking can delay healing and increase the risk of complications.  It’s important when it comes to choosing an aesthetic clinic in Malaysia for breast augmentation treatment as it might cause damage to your body with any wrong step.
