How does SkinLuxe work?
The SkinLuxe laser utilizes two energy frequencies; 1064 nanometers to target deeper skin layers, and 532 nanometers to address superficial skin pigmented lesions.
Melanocytes are cells in the skin and eyes that produce and contain melanin, a brown pigment that is responsible for skin colour. SkinLuxe’s laser beam selectively weakens melanocytes and destroys melanin pigments. The destroyed fragments will be drained by the body’s lymphatic system. Reduction in melanin will result in brighter skin.
At the same time, the heat from the laser also stimulates collagen production within the dermis. Hence, ultimately there is tightening of the skin.
However, the final outcome of treatment still depends on the hydration level of the skin, as well as the experience of the treating doctor.

Skin pigmentation disorder affects the color of the skin and is caused by excess melanin production. The types of pigmentation disorders are post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, melasma, age spots and freckles. SkinLuxe reduces the melanin in the skin and treat pigmentation.
