Those were the days when tattoos were only adorned by gang members, bikers, outlaws, tribal members and etc. In this age and time, almost every other person has a tattoo.
Tattooing is a method that individuals have started to resort to as an expression of their personalities. Tattoo designs are in abundance and basically can be anything at all and come in all colors as well.
Tattooing is done by puncturing the skin with a needle containing ink into the dermal fibroblasts and macrophages layer of the skin so ensure the stain is permanent. Some woman use tattoos for cosmetic reasons as such as eye brow tattoos
This is the utmost common reason for tattoo removal currently. It ranges from regrets due to tattoos interfering with professional advancements, tattoos done in wrong locations, tattoos not aging well and drunk impulsive decisions.
Other regrets may be due to medical issues as such as sensitive skin like eczema, tattoos not healing, acute inflammatory reactions and infections that refuse to go off at site of tattoo.
Q Switched Nd YAG Laser
Gem uses the Q Switch Nd Yag laser as it’s the best choice of tattoo removal without causing scarring. The laser machine releases short high intensity wavelengths of light/pulses on to the tattooed skin shattering the ink pigment in a tattoo.
The shattered small ink particles are later flushed out by the body’s immune system causing the tattoo to fade gradually after each treatment (phagocyctosis). This light is selectively absorbed by only the tattoo ink and the surrounding area of the skin is left unharmed, thus the absence of scarring.
The treatment lasts only about ten minutes for each session and several treatments are required according to tattoo density and characteristics. An important criterion to be noted is that these lasers work best for black, blue and brown colors but poorly on certain shades of yellow and green. Very little or no downtime is recorded for the procedure.
